Born on the day of my birthday, I’ve been trying ever since - sometimes with little or no avail - to learn from my mistakes. I am the only child of my mother and I’m pretty certain of my father as well. I had a very happy childhood that consisted of going to school, sports, sleeping and watching way too much television.

After having wasted numerous hours on tennis and volleyball courts, I was in for a new sporting challenge and switched to triathlon in the late 1990’s. This has so far resulted in 5 Ironman finishes, including the 2005 World Championships.

Raised in Brussels, Belgium (a tiny country in Europe known for it’s beer, chocolate and Jean-Claude Van Damme), I know live with my girlfriend in a small rural town close to the city of Aalst.
